History of CARE
At David Weekley Homes, helping others and giving back is an integral part of our culture. For more than 20 years, that’s included a robust outreach program with our Team Members donating their time and talents working with local nonprofits. While these efforts made a profound impact in the communities where we live and build, we knew that we wanted – and could – do more. In 2014, we reached out to our Team Members, Homeowners and Homebuyers for feedback to determine where and how to focus our philanthropic efforts. The comments emphasized that all these groups believe in our efforts and were interested in participating with us. With such a positive response, we launched our companywide CARE program.
To support this new initiative, we asked 21 Team Members with a passion for service to join our CARE Council and spearhead our new companywide efforts. These individuals work diligently behind-the-scenes to develop the strategy and provide input and vision for our three annual companywide events as well as local initiatives, too. As the saying goes, “It takes a village,” and we are very fortunate to receive so much support from our Team and our community. We look forward to impacting more lives in the coming years!
